So, after a quiet end to 2009 with many changes in my life, the new year kicks in. I’ve now moved house and the madness is beginning to subside, and I’m getting back into the swing of things again. So I’ve been playing with Multipass renders this weekend and I think I’m about to start having a love affair with them. For those unfamiliar with the term, each Channel is rendered out as a separate file then combined in post production – so diffuse, specular, luminosity data, etc. is all in a different layer and ultimately gives much more control over the final shot.
